Let’s Roc Da Mic

• FANS of my daughter, singer Alexandra Burke,  might  be interested to know that I am involved in a charity talent event this Sunday where we are hoping to find the next big new entertainer or entertainers. It’s called Roc Da Mic and it is launched at the Travelodge Royal Scot Hotel at King’s Cross.
There’s no age limit, everyone is welcome, but we do advise that children under 14 are accompanied by an adult.
The prize is £10,000 and a recording contract. There is a registration fee of £20 per solo act or £25 for a group or band. For this, they receive a voice preparation class before meeting the judges. The event is raising money for the Haiti appeal, British Kidney Patients Association and Marie Curie Cancer Care.
