Job club supports unemployed to get back into work

Published: 4 March 2010

• CAMDEN councillor Julian Fulbrook rightly observes that local people are not stupid (‘Partnership administration’ bickering is at fever pitch, Letters February 18).

We also expect persons in public office to support the unemployed back to work such as the Holborn job club, rather than undermine such efforts with wrong and cheap throw-away comments.

surprisingly there is a significant lack of job clubs in London and we should support such efforts and focus on their merits.

The Holborn job club is to help people get a job and is open to all those looking for a job.
The last meeting was held at the Holborn Community Centre, 35 Emerald Street. Contact richard_hopkin@live.com for the time and location of the next meeting.

I attend the job club and am grateful to all those who donate time and facilities to make it happen, regardless of any personal political affiliations they have.
