Decent?

• COUNCILLOR Ralph Scott unashamedly crows about the government not coughing up the cash for decent homes.
The sad fact is that as finance chief of the Lib Dem-Tory run Camden Council, he seemed unaware when I pointed out to him that, according to figures produced by his own officers, his Decent Homes kitchens were overpriced by some £2,500 each. Depending on which consultant one asks, at best that represents £20million and at worst £40million – that’s 70 to 140 homes that don’t need to be sold off.
Stop using the 18,000 people waiting for a home as political pawns.
Just shave off some of those zeros invented by consultants and contractors. You don’t need to sell-off our homes to generate the money needed for Decent Homes.
