A visionary

• THE suddenness of Martin Davies death was as shocking as his death itself.

It had only been two weeks since I sought his assistance and once again his response was immediate.

To contact Martin was always to receive good advice and response geared to absolutely the correct channels.

The terms “nice man” and “good man” are definitely descriptions of Martin.

Within matters of the council he was circumspect, wholly honourable and compassionate.

While understanding all the constraints of budget and committee he remained a committed visionary.

The tragic early death of such a man is an immeasurable loss to the community and my thoughts and sympathy go to his partner and family in their enormous loss of such a very nice good person.
