Tribune will fix it!

• THANK you for highlighting the problem of a leaking pipe over on Highbury Fields (Pensioner asks Mayor to fix leak, June 4).

As a result of your article I received three telephone calls from a Thames Water manager the day after the paper appeared saying he would personally take responsibility to repair the leaking pipe. 

Your paper must have some sway with the powers that be. 

I spent eight weeks struggling with Thames Water to get them to take action over this dreadful waste of water over by the café but all to no avail. 

I’m hoping now that the problem will finally be solved.
