Start cuts on the streets

Published: 24 June, 2010

• MANY pavements in  Swiss Cottage are a hazard to the disabled and those with failing eyesight.

It is not just the multitude of posts, bollards, and portable shop signs but the drooping, overhanging branches and projecting hedges with prickly holly and thorny rose bushes, some of which stick out 60 centimetres over the pavement.

Will Camden Council set a good example by trimming the obstructions from the property it owns or controls?
