Seeds of a good idea

• WALKING past the proposed site of the UK Centre for Medical Research and Innovation laboratory, Brill Place, I was delighted to see that a suggestion we made many months ago has been taken up, with signs advertising a new community gardening project on the site.  

In Somers Town, where open space is scarce and gardens even more so, this is very welcome. 

We shall, of course, continue to campaign for the site to be used as per its planning designation, for the housing and community facilities this area so sorely needs. But in the meantime, we have applied for our space, and eagerly look forward to taking up our gardening forks and planting our vegetables.
