Say No to demolition

• I WENT to the meeting on Monday night about St Aloysius College.
Why on earth would you build an L-shaped room when everyone knows a classroom should be rectangular so the teacher can see the whole class?
It seems the science lab has no room to store hazardous chemicals, which is surely against health and safety.
On top of this, they want to pull down the old block, which is structurally sound and worth £10million.
It seems they want to pull the building down and then rebuild with a smaller block.
What is the point of that in a recession when the government is cutting back.
We know that if they pull down this building nothing will be replaced, because they will use the excuse that the money was spent adjusting the existing new build.
We need to save the old building, to stand together and say No.
They are throwing good furniture in a skip.
The science and tech rooms could move back into the old block and the L-shaped rooms be used by the sixth-form.
By leaving the old block, things can be put right; pull down the old block and chaos will happen.
