Romantic banker

• I WAS rather taken with the story (Love story: Romantic Oliver’s novel proposal in book- shop window, June 17).

After spending many months reading about the cold-hearted, blood-thirsty nature of bankers it was wonderful to see there is someone as tender and thoughtful as Oliver Harkness in that world.

I was also surprised to find that a banker reads books of any sort, let alone can locate a bookshop.

This leads me to question all my preconceived judgments.
