Paying for cheap flights
Published: 25 June, 2010
• I AM very disappointed.
Two weeks ago, we booked flights from London to the French town of Limoges with Ryanair.
The cost of £240 was paid by card.
At the airport, we were told we should have checked in online four hours before departure.
We also didn’t know we were only allowed a baggage allowance of 10 kilos per person.
My suitcase was the correct weight, but my wife was charged £35, despite having the same size baggage.
As we weren’t able to check in online (we are both over 60 years of age) we were each charged £40.
For the return flight home, we were online four hours before.
But Ryanair was not interested, and so charged us another £40 each, as we had not managed to check in online.
That means we paid a total of £435 for our travel.
That’s a shame.
I had been invited to France for a giant barbecue for 100 people.
When I told people there, they said they would never use Ryanair again.
Thank you, Ryanair, for your cheap prices.
