Oppose Boris Johnson’s policing cuts
Published: 17 June, 2010
• ONE of my proudest moments as Mayor of London was helping to put a dedicated local Safer Neighbourhoods police team into every community in London.
Today 630 local police teams are fighting crime and making the streets safer in every part of London including Camden. The future of these local police teams is being threatened by Boris Johnson.
To protect our Safer Neighbourhoods teams I have launched a campaign against his police cuts. If you oppose cuts in the number of police officers in Camden please sign our petition which calls on the mayor to guarantee the future of Safer Neighbourhoods teams and reverse his plans to cut 455 police officers.
