No retread mayor here

• HOW depressing to find former Labour minister David Lammy endorsing Ken Livingstone’s greedy eagerness to become a retread, third-time, Mayor of London, retaking office at the immodest age of 66. 

Are there really no major Labour politicians willing to offer themselves as an antidote to Ken Livingstone’s  renewed, mayoral push? 

Surely the shock of the new – a fresh voice and mind – would offer a better class of future and a more exciting one for London than the restoration of the old Livingstonian regime.
