A mayor for music

• MANY thanks for the excellent coverage you gave to the event where my fellow councillors selected me as the “first citizen” of Camden. 

I am as proud as punch to be your mayor. I know you’d expect me to say it but I honestly think we live in one of the most amazing parts of London, filled with amazing museums, green spaces and most importantly talented and inspiring people.

I’ve had an excellent response on my theme of promoting Camden’s music heritage. I would like residents to get in touch and share their ideas on how we could work on the music theme together. I’d also love to be invited to community events over the next year of any kind, large and small. Email mayor@camden. gov.uk to make a suggestion.I cannot say how proud I am to be your mayor and look forward to meeting many New Journal readers over the year.
