Look out for artwork

• READERS may be interested to know that today (Friday) marks the beginning of Islington Exhibits, a 10-day exhibition extravaganza that brings together over 300 artists at more than 45 venues across Islington.

Launched by Rowan Arts, Exhibits encourages unexpected venues to show artwork and also showcases local artistic talent.

Many of the exhibitions are in cafés, libraries and shops, so please keep your eye out for all the fantastic artwork on your everyday journeys around Islington.

I invite Tribune readers to get involved more directly with workshops, talks and interactive events that include guerilla gardening and experiments with UV paint.

There will be free, guided walking tours that offer the opportunity to meet the artists.
