The first casualties?

• UNPAID workers such as carers, and people whose mental health makes them most vulnerable to unemployment, are at risk of being among the first casualties of public spending cuts.
Our trust has run events to encourage informal volunteering, new interests, healthy eating and a sense of community support and involvement. We are grateful to a wide range of supporters for funding and on volunteers. We also rely on grants from NHS Islington and social services. Cuts in public sector services will put more pressure on charities. We will have to pull together to prevent crises in the days ahead. I am looking forward to discovering how the politicians suggest succeeding at this.
