‘Hotel’ was just magic

• IT was good to see the review of the amazing Electric Hotel (‘Hotel’ wins extended stay, Review, June 18).
What did not come across was how hard the creators and producers, Fuel Theatre, worked to get this project off the ground.
And what an inventive and economical method they employed.
The four-storey structure does indeed go up in two days.
It has been erected five times so far, and will continue its tour in two weeks’ time – recycling at its best.
The Argent representative noted that there was interest in the contrast between the relatively slow tempo of large-scale development and the almost magical arrival of the Electric Hotel.
With that in mind perhaps we might take another look at the “small can be beautiful” approach to providing housing and studio space?
There are systems capable of doing this, including the Container City system that is at the heart of the Electric Hotel.
If small pockets of land can be released, many more affordable and speedy homes can be provided.
