So who did block the publication of top salary details?

• YOU reported (‘Shock’ as council wages are revealed, June 17) that the new Tory leader Councillor Andrew Mennear said he was “personally glad” that the information on top people’s salaries was published.

But was it not his party and the Liberal Democrats who blocked the publication of this when they were in power?

Was he not also part of the same administration that refused to allow a deputation from schools in Gospel Oak to the council about the proposed “indefinite postponement” of funding to repair some of our most needy primary schools?

Was it not his party that withheld information from people in Gospel Oak about regeneration plans for their area?
