PARK USE BY SCHOOLS - Open to all
Published: 30 July, 2010
• WESTMINSTER Council is not going to force schools to seek permission to use its parks and open spaces.
Westminster’s parks are open to all and we are not looking to ban children, or any other group for that matter, from using them.
The facts are there have been complaints regarding one school and the use by its pupils of an adjacent park.
We are working with residents and the school to find a solution that balances the needs of everyone who uses this park but we are certainly not looking to place widespread “restrictions” on school children using our open spaces.
There are fantastic award winning open spaces in Westminster that we are rightly proud of and we will continue to work hard to ensure all residents, businesses and visitors can enjoy and share them fully.
