Neither collusion nor unhygienic residents

Published: 15 July, 2010

• I AM perplexed by the report (Eco group paint over mural by refugees, July 8) about neighbours in uproar as environmentalists wreck a historic mural in Primrose Hill.

You print two photos of the residents concerned.

The main photo shows a group of six people standing next to the painted-over mural looking forlorn and a smaller photo shows the same individuals standing proudly before the original artwork (with absolute continuity of dress)!

I can only conclude that either (a) the inhabitants of Primrose Hill in the photo routinely fail to change their clothes or (b) the New Journal has colluded with said individuals in an act of artifice to condemn “environmentalists”.

I’m sure I’m not alone in noticing so please tell.

The picture above shows a section of the mural which the neighbours were able to rescue before it could be painted over.
