Cycle hire scheme will hit business

• I MUST comment on the frustration of Soho and the West End’s shops and delivery firms regarding this new cycle hire scheme being brought in by Boris Johnson and Transport for London.

Instead of creating new spaces for the docking areas for the bike scheme, Westminster City Council has instead been taking away the very few loading bays in the area, making life even more difficult.

I remember the West End Extra picking up the story a while back of milkmen and other firms in Soho being targeted by traffic wardens.

So this move can only go against the same firms and shops.

I hope something can be done about this.

Although I do not live or work in the area it is affecting a lot of people who just want to do their jobs.
