Bias against bicyclists
Published: 22 July, 2010
• ONCE again an anonymous correspondent jumps on the anti-cyclist band-wagon (Letters, July 15).
While we cyclists constantly face this kind of bigotry, may I point out that during my half-hour ride to work this morning this particular cyclist, who does not ride on the pavement or go through red lights, had to avoid over a dozen pedestrians stepping into the road without looking, plus six pedestrians walking on the cycle path.
I agree there are too many inconsiderate cyclists out there but the letters pages of newspapers, are so heavily biased against cyclists, it is ridiculous.
All of us, all of you, need to be more considerate and more patient with one another.
