Any street memories?

I’m trying to research the street where my mother grew up but without much success!

It was called Seaton Street, NW1, and had a seven-day (I believe) market known locally as Seaton Market.

It ran just to the west of Hampstead Road and demolished in the 1970s to be redeveloped into the glass tower which stands there now.

The internet has only turned up a couple of references and I cannot find any photographs.

If any of your readers have any stories of Seaton Street, or even have some photos they could send to me, especially from the 1940s and 1950s, I’d be very grateful.

Or if anyone knows of any books that have pictures of Seaton Street I’d really appreciate the information.

My mother is in her 80s now and I’d love to surprise her!
