Access point

• I’M glad Labour have seen the light and support the plan for a new King’s Cross site.
When we discussed this it seemed the new site could deliver great new facilities for residents.
I trust Labour will press for this and to ensure a good network of council offices across the borough for residents who need to get advice and help locally.
I’m worried to see reports of selling off council properties in Hampstead and on St Pancras Way.
Particularly ominous is the reference in cabinet papers to “providing options for integrated face-to-face access points elsewhere in the borough if any are required”.
While I agree much can and should happen online these days, there are still many people who do need a proper network of “access points” and I urge Labour to be vigilant on this.
