No sell-offs

• IT’S good news that we may get 63 new council homes built.
It shows that if you fight you can get results.
But it doesn’t give us the money to improve existing homes, and it barely replaces the 56 council homes sold at auction by Camden Council to pay for improvement works. These include family homes in good condition, some purpose-built and disabled-adapted.
With 18,000 on the housing waiting list we need government to invest in existing and new council housing.
Campaigners have written to the District Auditor to challenge the waste and misuse of public money.
We are meeting 5.30pm on January 18 at 11-17 The Marr, NW1, to plan our next steps.
