My safer ‘bike box’

• THERE is a simple solution to the problem of vehicles in the ‘bike box’ at traffic lights (Cyclist killed by dustcart that strayed into ‘bike box’, January 1). When a set of lights comes up for routine maintenance, bring the right-hand traffic light to the vehicle stop line, add a new left-hand light and convert the old left light to bikes only.
Now you only need to place a camera on the vehicle stop line. Anyone caught in the bike box should be given a £60 fine, with no excuses.
