Theatre at half the West End price

Published: 19 February 2010

• WHILE I commend Katty Pearce’s excellent review (February 5) of my production of Wet Weather Cover at the King’s Head Theatre, now extended until February 28, I would like to clarify for your readers her issue with ticket prices.

The ticket price of £20 is set by the King’s Head in line with other recent productions.

It is £20 because we pay our actors and technical staff a decent wage, unlike many other listed fringe theatres who pay actors nothing at all – £20 is half the price of most West End venues.
