Suing yourself? Now that really is a Town Hall farce
Published: 26 February 2010
• I READ in disbelief of the farcical situation at Islington Council, which is taking itself to a parking appeals tribunal in an attempt to claim costs, against itself, for unpaid parking tickets.
At least now we’ve finally found out why our council tax is so high. Our money is supporting an organisation whose left hand doesn’t know what the right hand is doing; preferring to waste town hall bureaucrats’ and lawyers’ time suing each other. Surely there are more pressing issues in the borough to deal with?
