Outrageous!

• YOUR front-page exclusive on the outrageous profits being made by property developers who are benefiting from Camden’s Lib Dem-Tory endorsed council flat sell-off was depressing reading.
Time and time again the homes that should be protected for our future generations are being sold off by the council as cheaply as possibly.
Property developers must be rubbing their hands with glee at the speed that the council is selling off our homes to the lowest bidder.
I read an article recently that quoted a highly successful property investor, David Pearl, saying that the “real bargains are going to come from the sales of local authority properties...”.
In Camden this certainly seems to be the case with the Town Hall extension being sold on the cheap (with the Lib Dems refusing to publish any figures on the valuation of the building) and repeatedly selling off flats.
Readers should share my outrage on the actions of the council.
Not only are these homes where our children will live in years to come but also they are taxpayers’ assets.
In selling them off so cheaply they are throwing away the future for people in Camden and using our resources as residents appallingly.
We are committed as the Labour Party to stopping the immoral sells-offs and will not work with any party that continues with this policy.
