Last word on dispute

Published: 19 February 2010

• AS chairman of Whitbread Tenants’ and Residents’ Association, I will not be drawn into a slanging match with leaseholders through the columns of a newspaper, so this will be my last reply (Our battle is over cost, February 12).

What is contradictory is that in one breath leaseholders are saying we do not require new windows and in the next that it’s the cost that’s the issue (make your mind up).

We fully agree that not all tenants/

leaseholders suffer with condensation, but the majority do, and badly, impacting on their health and wellbeing through no fault of their own.

We hope Homes for Islington will let common sense prevail and find a solution agreeable to all concerned.
