We’re staying

• PEOPLE here are distressed and angry at the proposed destruction of our estate and with it our community.
Lamble Street and Barrington Close is a real community made up of people of all races and age groups living harmoniously in a happy, crime-free, environment.
It is a neighbourhood with people caring and looking after each other; this care and solidarity comes from the core values of a working class community.
We will not allow the council to bulldoze our estates or the neighbouring estates. The destruction of 1,280 homes and the forced removal of 5,000 people represents the destruction of a community.
A warning to the council this community will resist. We shall not be moved!
