Tranquillity is history

• ONCE the value of peace and tranquillity in the recovery process from mental illness was well recognised.

The Camden & Islington NHS Foundation Trust sets no store by this. It has closed St Luke’s in a greenfield site and proposes to close Queen Mary House in the leafy environs of Hampstead.  For some reason it seems to think people are likely to recover better in the built-up area of St Pancras Hospital where they can look out onto a graveyard. How times have changed.
