Is it a park for vehicles?
Published: 2 December, 2010
• WATERLOW Park is frequently circled by vans, trucks, 4x4s and cars each weekday.
The park is small; just 400 metres by 500. Yet Camden Council insists all the vehicles are necessary and monitored. Besides problems of cost, pollution, noise and inconvenience, the real issue is safety. Nearly all the paths in the park are slopes. Some slope crossways too, and many are narrow. There are frequent blind corners. What is the council’s policy for the health and safety of the public regarding vehicles in parks?
