On yer bike

• CAN someone explain to me how contractors get permission to go out and work on the new bicycle hire scheme at such anti-social hours?

The contractors were out here just after midnight the other day.

Couldn’t they have waited till the morning?

Now they are here installing the bikes at 5.50am.

Why on earth should they be allowed to do it? Or don’t they need permission?
