• ROGER Robinson asks about Liberal Democrats and their consciences (A betrayal by ‘democratic’ Liberals and Tories, August 19).
Well let’s see.

Mr Robinson’s Labour Party in government presided over a widening gap between rich and poor; they led this country into the worst economic crisis since the war; they removed civil liberties including introducing ID cards and trying to lock people up for 90 days without trial; they denied the people of Camden the money they were entitled to to improve the quality of homes here.

And, of course, they led this country into an illegal war which cost many thousands of lives.

I hope you’re sleeping well, Mr Robinson.
