Say no to a rail tunnel

Published: 5 August, 2010

• SO some people think a tunnel under Primrose Hill will be okay with all the noise and rubble.

We live in a ground-floor flat, just a short walk from Eversholt Street.

Ah, you say... that is no nowhere near Primrose Hill!

But when I am in bed at night I can hear and feel the trains running under Eversholt Street, as well as hearing the rumbling of the trains leaving Euston station.

So just be aware of things to come.

Sound and vibration do go hand-in-hand.

Once the tunnel is there it will be too late to go back.

Anyway, why a tunnel?

We’ve managed without one for years.

Why spend all that money? Give it to me!

I could think of many good things I could do with it.

Is this government just going to copy the old one?

PS: I’ve lived around here for 75 years, and I am 90 now.
