Open House opportunity
Published: 26 August, 2010
• I AM writing to encourage Camden residents to take part in the Open House London weekend over September 18 and 19, where we get to see inside the many amazing landmark and historic buildings around our borough.
Camden has everything on offer from historic buildings, architectural gems and homes of famous authors.
The weekend will allow residents to view places such as the top of the BT Tower in Bloomsbury and the Freemasons’ Hall in Covent Garden, free of charge.
Open House is one of the most popular annual events to celebrate our cultural heritage across London.
Brochures outlining which buildings will be opening their doors are available at Camden libraries or alternatively www.openhouselondon.org.uk.
I hope residents will take this opportunity to go through the key hole and see why we have so much to be proud of on our doorstep.
CLLR JONATHAN SIMPSON
Mayor of the London Borough of Camden
