Give credit where due!

• IF Islington Labour council leader, Catherine West, is claiming the credit for saving £350,000 by entering into a consortium with other councils to buy insurance more cheaply (Neighbours join forces to ease cuts pain, July 30), how come the deal was put together and actually signed last year when the Liberal Democrats were still in power?
