Cyclists who break law

Published: 12 August, 2010

• ON the concourse of Sainsbury’s, Camden Town, I was “bumped” by a determined cyclist the other day.

Strange that Sainsbury’s seems to allow cycling there!

I would like to thank the shoppers who rallied round, and forced the previously arrogant cyclist to apologise, dismount and go off pushing his bike, with his tail between his legs.

If these selfish “pram-dodging” cyclists are not confronted, then the failure of the authorities to quell this blatant law-breaking, will ensure the mounting success the cyclists have achieved in recent months.

But be careful before approaching these idiots. Ensure there are witnesses close by.

The authorities seem to have failed to uphold the law in this regard, presumably because of other pressures.

What instructions are the police given?

We should be told!
