Tube on right lines

• IT’S great to read that Tube Lines is finally rethinking some of its crazy Northern line closure proposals. Every time there are Tube closures it hits local businesses hard. Right now – when we’ve all been affected by the economic recession – the last thing we needed was 16 months of early-evening Tube closures.
I don’t deny the work needs doing but Tube Lines plans always seemed way too excessive, without any consideration of the impact they would have on Islington. I hope the alternative closure programme will be a big improvement on Tube Lines’ first attempt.
