Quiet strengths of Corin Redgrave
Published: 23 April, 2010
• CORIN Redgrave was a talented, quiet and unassuming man (An Actor’s farewell, April 16).
I met him in 1970 at the Dublin Castle in Camden when, along with Bernadette Devlin, Dominic Behan, Hugh MacDiarmid, we performed in aid of Frank Roche and the Irish Political Detainees Defence Fund.
I imagine that appearance went straight onto his file somewhere down Whitehall way. Corin Redgrave was a strong trade unionist.
I feel he would have been amused to see a radical nature cell in Iceland declare its support for BA cabin crews against Willie Walsh.
