A president?

• THE support for Nick Clegg following the national leaders’ debate phased me as I attended hustings in Highgate.
Following the debate we’ve had absurd headlines saying that Clegg was more popular than Winston Churchill. No one I know seems to have got as excited as the media, but then we’ve had to endure the Lib Dem-led Camden Council over the last four years.
Before people get bewitched into voting Lib Dem they should look at their record. Local services have been dramatically cut and local youth clubs are now almost non-existent.
Frank Dobson deserves our vote. He’s a good MP and Highgate will benefit from having him. We all need to remember we vote for a local MP and do not have a presidential system.
