Jim Duggan: open invitation to service for trade union activist

THE funeral of Jim Duggan, a lifelong trade union activist in Camden who has died aged 82, is at the St Marylebone Crematorium, East Finchley, on Friday, April 18.
Mr Duggan, who lived in Kentish Town, was one of   the founder members of the Camden Federation of Residents and Tenants Association.
A former Fleet Street reporter and plumber, he helped build the first community centre on the Peckwater Estate in Islip Street. He was closely involved in the Camden rent strike of 1960.
His family said the public are welcome to attend the service at midday on    Friday. A reception will follow in 71 Wood Vale, Muswell Hill, from 2pm.
