Hospital campaign day of action
Published: 22 April, 2010
• DEFEND the Whittington Hospital Coalition is upping the ante in our determination to overturn the unpopular NHS executive proposals to close our accident and emergency, maternity, trauma and paediatric services at the Whittington.
On Thursday April 29 we are co-ordinating a Day of Action across the area with a series of stunts outside workplaces, surgeries, churches and mosques, with people dressed up as cats, and/or wearing bandages.
From 1pm-2pm there will be a rally outside the Whittington, with a range of guest speakers.
Celebrities and leaders of political parties who support us are being asked to speak at the rally, where we will be releasing 200 balloons.
We urge everyone to join us and to let us know what stunts they are planning, where and when.
