Generous gesture

• I JUST had an experience in Kentish Town which made me very happy.
My boyfriend is travelling to Sierra Leone to visit a friend. We thought it would be good to buy some stationery to donate to some local schools there. We went to Morgan’s Stationery in Kentish Town and bought all the calculators they had, among other items. The proprietor heard what we were doing and filled our bag with handfuls of pens, rubbers and all sorts of fun stationery. I’ve lived in London for six years and have rarely experienced gestures like this. Acts like this should be given some media coverage in an age where bad news dominates.
