Don’t bury your heads in the sand

• THE Green Party will be standing 17 candidates (covering 15 wards) in the local elections on May 6.
Although Westminster is pretty much a closed shop, do remember that every single Green vote sends out a crystal clear message: that we cannot just keep burying our heads in the sand over climate change and the environment.
The Green Party has the policies in place to rebuild our communities and create a safe and sustainable society; all we ask for is the opportunity to put them into practice.
I would also like to mention those serving councillors who have decided not to seek
re-election: Carolyn Keen, Pamela Batty, Frances Blois, Mark Page, Alexander Nicoll, Duncan Sandys, Sharan Tabari, and Tim Joiner.
Local councillors do not often get the praise they deserve, and I thank them for all their hard work.
