All Greek Orthodox Easter at day centre

• TABLE-dancing, beer bottle-balancing and plenty of music enlivened the annual Greek Easter celebration at Alsen Day Centre, Finsbury Park, writes Raj Sandhu.
The event, held to celebrate the Greek Orthodox Easter, welcomes visitors from all and no faiths, and the day centre
provided lunch along with live Greek music, played by a two-man band.
Even staff joined in with the Greek dancing that followed.
The celebrations were mainly for elderly residents but everyone was welcomed with a smile from staff and a drink.
The party ended with a raffle and several very happy
winners, including 95 year old Sylvia Roberts who said: “I’ve never won anything before.”
