Warden’s licence

• I CONFESS I am the “anonymous snapper” who took photographs of the “civil enforcement” officer parking on double yellow lines on a bend in Pond Square (Parking wardens’ message: “do as we say, not as we do”, December 17).
I wonder where it is legally stated they are allowed to do this, as the NSL spokesman claims?
Is he absolutely sure about this?
Also, the officer’s claims to have been there for no longer than eight minutes at any time are untrue.
The timer on my cameraphone shows 27 minutes elapsed between the first and last photographs of the car, and several other pictures were taken throughout that time.
If an NSL officer gets their facts wrong in this case, how can anything written in their reports be trusted?
