Playground provider

• THE eight to 13-year-olds were in the past been rather overlooked and the new playground at the Peckwater estate (High jinks, December 17) is certainly something to be very much welcomed.
The estate has had its problems in the past, and this should now help to keep youngsters out of trouble while providing healthy physical activities close to home.
While Lib Dem Mayor Faruque Ansari graciously presided over the official opening, it is worth remembering that this facility was provided courtesy of the present Labour government providing funding for this age group – 29 sites in Camden alone.
