No peace on Heath

• I WISH I could agree with B Bowden and L Norman’s high opinion of the running of the Heath (Letters, December 10).
I no longer walk there as frequently because in the past year or so it has become no longer peaceful.
I see and hear very large vehicles in all areas, driving across fields, through woods and along narrow paths.
Meanwhile, very noisy equipment like chainsaws and leaf-blowers shatter the peace for great lengths of time. I have enjoyed the Heath for almost 40 years but modern park-keeping methods have made the place feel violated.
