A MAN was stabbed seven times in Camden Town yesterday (Wednesday). The 28-year-old suffered multiple wounds during the attack in Royal College Street at the junction of Georgiana Street at around 4.15pm.
The victim’s downstairs neighbour said he was stretchered into an ambulance but that he seemed “OK” and was conscious.
The woman, who did not want to be named, added: “When I found it was my neighbour that had been stabbed, I couldn’t believe it. He’s a quiet guy, keeps himself to himself.”
Royal College Street – linking Camden Town with St Pancras – was transformed into a major crime scene with sniffer dogs hunting for the knife used. A dozen marked police cars and at least 20 uniformed officers on the scene.
The nearby Prince Albert pub was transformed into a makeshift incident room with police using the gastro-style tables to interview staff and witnesses. Blue and white police tape was wrapped around the beer pumps, tables and chairs.
A man was arrested at the scene in connection with the incident.
